What is Keratin?
Keratin is a type of protein high in sulphur and the amina acid cystine, making it tough, elastic and insoluble. Our unique Keratin formula is virtually a "liquid form of hair." It brings back to hair what it has lost over the years.
Can you do the treatment over Japanese straightening?
Yes-You can do the treatment over ANY kind of straightening.
Is this treatment a relaxer?
No - It is a keratin based treatment that naturally de-frizzes and in many cases straightens your hair.
Can you do the treatment after coloring?
Yes - The treatment should be done AFTER you color your hair.
Can I color my hair after the treatment?
Yes, but if you wait until after you do the treatment you should wait at least 2 to 3 weeks.
Can you do the treatment on top of relaxed hair?
Yes, you can do the treatment over any previously relaxed hair.
Can you do the treatment on previously chemically treated hair?
Yes, you can do the treatment on chemically treated hair
Can you do the treatment on highlighted hair?
Yes, you can do highlights and do the treatment right after.
Can you do the treatment on virgin hair?
Yes, but it won't last as long as previously colored or chemically treated hair.
Can you do the treatment on children, if yes from what age?
Yes - We recommend no younger than 6 years old. You have to use your judgement.
Can I wash my hair after the treatment, and when?
Yes, but only after 4 whole days after you have done the treatment.
Can I wear a ponytail or tie my hair?
No, not during the 4 day waiting period.
What should I do if my hair gets wet during the first 4 days?
Blow dry immediately and/or flat iron it.
Can I go to the pool or ocean after the treatment?
Not until after the 4 day waiting period.
How long will the treatment stay on my hair?
2 months on virgin hair, and 3 to 4 months on any other type of hair
What shampoo can I use after doing the treatment?
We recommend using our shampoos, because they do not contain sodium chloride, and they have Keratin and UV protection. (shampoo is included in treatment service)
Do I have to do touch-ups on my next visit or the whole head?
The whole head
When should I have the treatment done again?
3 months or as needed
Can I do the treatment every month?
Yes
Should I cut my hair before the treatment?
No - We recommend cutting your hair after the treatment, so that you can trim the dead ends.
Can I use hair spray, gels, mousse, or any other hair products on my hair during the 4 day period?
No.
